During the week, everyone from long-time Knoxvillians to new visitors was encouraged to show their love for the city and its people through safe and socially distant activities. The community explored the downtown area to discover little signs of love and maybe even enjoy a romantic dinner. There were photo ops, light displays, and even a hand-painted mailbox with the message “I Love Knox” in Market Square. A Knoxville artist created the mailbox to collect special notes for the city as we look forward to a year of love and community. This was a great opportunity to express love and appreciation for this city and the people in our lives.
Following the holiday, The Downtown Knoxville Alliance chose favorite love letters to enter into a giveaway. A few lucky Valentines won the “Much Love” giveaway, which included a complimentary night at one of Knoxville’s lovely hotels. Along with the fancy night downtown, winners also got chocolates, wine, and even some fun surprises!
In honor of the “Much Love” campaign, WearKnox is introducing you to some of our new items! In particular, we have a lot of fun products dedicated to our little “Scruffy City” (one of Knoxville’s endearing nicknames). All of our t-shirts are designed to encourage everyone to show off their Knoxville pride. Take a stroll through the Peppermint Trail downtown and look out for new murals while rocking your cool, new Knox Rocks t-shirt.
